As some of you may know by now, our dear Treasurer Chris Cheesman sadly passed away on 27th August after a short battle with cancer.
Chris had been treasurer of our society for over 30 years and had helped organise just about everything that happened in the society. If you needed to know anything, then ask Chris and she would nearly always have the answer.
She took part in many of our matches with great enthusiasm and at her home club Corhampton, had undertaken many different roles over the years.
At her request there will be no formal funeral but she had hoped to leave her body to science in order to help others. Her family are making a donation to Cancer Research to help fulfil her wishes.
Such sad news but I’m sure you will all have your memories of Chris and have a smile. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
